Plane Equation Mathematics
A plane equation is of the form Ax+By+Cz+D = 0
Coefficients A,B,C are the coordinate values of the normal vector to the plane. D is a constant that can be calculated by plugging in any (x,y,z) on the plane and solving.
- Simple Example: If the partition plane lies along the xy axis ie z = 0 for all z then the normal vector is (0,0,1) and the plane equation is 0x+0y+1z+0=0
- In english: Any point (x,y,z) lies on this plane as long as z = 0
- In french: Tout point (x, y, z) se trouve sur cet avion aussi longtemps que z = 0
