Bounding Shapes
Bounding Shapes define the region that an object occupies
Each shape has a point of origin and a radius
The simplest shape is a sphere as it's radius is uniform in all directions
Collision detection with bounding spheres is easy
- If dist(Ao – Bo) < (Ar+Br) then collision has occurred
For other shapes the formula is more difficult
